rings on the finger--significance? man needeth help

Hi there folks,

If a woman has a ring on her ring finger that is clearly not an
engagement or a wedding ring (no rock--just sort of an ornamental
looking thing), does it indicate that she's in a relationship? thanks,

Greetings, Robert......

Speaking only from my own preference, an engagement or wedding ring can be
anything a woman chooses. I wear an east/west oval African Amethyst flanked on
either side by two small Diamonds. My husband gave it to me on our wedding
day. It was a total surprise and when he put it on my hand he said, "I'm giving
you this ring because I know your favorite colour is purple, and because I love
you with my heart and soul". We had decided not to have any rings ... again,
personal preferences. So.......that is just my experience. I think women are
choosing to wear rings other than the traditional Diamond as engagement/wedding
rings. But then there are many who aren't.
