Default Hot Glass Classes

Just thought I'd let you know about the summer Hot Glass classes at Red
Deer College: Upcoming bead-making classes with Lauri Copeland, the
fabulous Suzanne Eaton, and I'll be teaching twice - one is a 5 day
Intro Beadmaking Class, the other is 3 days of beads, 2 days of
jewelry-making. The college also others a great variety of 5-day long
glass-blowing, flameworking, glass casting and fusing classes, as well
as the regular Summer Series fine crafts courses.

I've heard such wonderful things about Red Deer! I'd love to come
sometime, either as a student or as an instructor...

It is a great place. I took my first bead-making class there and taught
there for the first time last year, as well as taking my first
glass-blowing class. The coordinator is a potter, who is now also a
beadmaker. Their techs are excellent and it's just a nice relaxed
environment. The hot shop and the bead-making studio are right next to
each other, so that's fun too because it's interesting to see what both
classes are doing. Would love to see you up here in this part of the
world, Tink.

Thanks Dora - I was going to go camping in the mountains for a few days
after I teach at Red Deer, but maybe I'll have to detour to Calgary.
Beads shows aren't exactly a common occurence round these parts Thanks
for the reminder of the dates.
