An easy knitting needle roll is made of two cloth placemats. Fold one
mat lengthwise in thirds and sew it to the other mat with the fold and one long edge together and the shorter third in front. Partition suitably and add a ribbon for tying closed. Total cost is about $3 and half an hour of your time. Its a little different from the crochet ones but it would still work and you could still knit a piece for making a pocket for the needles. If I find any others, I will pass them along.  Kelly
