Default Thinking about using horse tail hair to make a belt. Have you done this before?

I brushed out all my horses hairs and I saved it. I am thinking about
making my daughter a little belt out of it. Adding some beeds and all.
Has anyone here ever done this on here before? I was just wondering.
Love to have any tips that might help make it easier to do.

Well I gotta go.

Thanks,

Horse tail hair was the traditional material for fine fresh water fishing
line. I think they were knotted together, rather than being spun.

Horse hair is the traditional material for stuffing a knitter's pouch.

I NEVER heard that before (about it being used for fishing.) That's
really neat!
I haven't started working on them too much just yet. I have to get all
the tail hair and mane hair in two different piles first. Right now I
just have them in bags from the different horses. I'll let you know
how these turn out tho.

Thanks for sharing that information with me.

Just remember that with Weather changes they will change their length
a bit !!!! thus don`t make it too tight !!

I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!

I can't wait to make it for her. I think she'll like it.
