Default Faux turquoise

I found this tutorial about making faux turquoise
http://www.jaedworks.com/clayspot/te...turquoise.html
and I'm going to try it but I have a doubt: between step 3 and 4, do you
wait for the paint to dry?

Looks like none of us knows. If you have time, why not try it both ways and
give us a report?

Yes.
You should wait for the paint to dry. It's best if you leave it over night
but you can wait couple of hours as well.

Hope this helps.

A piece of faux turquoise jewelry wont leave marks on your neck.
First, the paint is left to dry out on the air, later the paint and the clay
are baked, and after that the piece is usually sanded... Since the black
paint is used only for veining in the clay, there is acctually very little
area of black paint that comes in conntact with your skin. And the paint
that does is completely dry (after drying and baking) so there is no reason
why it should leave any kind of marks.
Some people even coat their pieces with some kind of finsh so in that case
there is even less chance for the piece to leave any kind of marks.

Hope this helps.
