Hey Sheilagh
How about a home-tanned fur-on lambskin? The skin side is pretty
suede-like, some work with a piece of sandstone should rough it up nicely. It needs to be scoured out but could then be used for soles with the hair side in, which is what I intended to do with it anyhow. |

If you saw my post on slipper sole solutions, you know that now I'm going to try something else that might be more readily available here. Thanks so much for your offer, which I do appreciate.
