Entry Level Faceting Machine
If anyone is interested in an alternative to the very expensive
faceting machines out there, there is now a very much less expensive alternative. I have been developing such a machine for several months and have just posted a picture of the faceting head to my web site. The lap is not ready for pictures yet but the whole package will be priced under $500. You can take a look at what I have so far at http://schmidling.netfirms.com/egh.jpg If you have a lap, the head as pictured is priced at $275. Looks interesting, Jack. What materials are you using? I like the way you
name the parts (angle tweek). Who is Index Paul? Just kidding. I know a guy who designs cuts and writes articles for Lapidary Journal. If you send me contact info, I'll pass it along to him when I see him. He might be interested in giving it a 'shakedown' for you. Chunk Kiesling "Jack Schmidling" wrote in message ... Jack,
That is impressive!!! I learned a lot reading your website. I may have to give that a try one of these days (when I catch-up on some of my other projects). Good luck!!
