Default Can some gemstones be glued together?

Have a look at my ring photo at the link below, please.

I would like to somehow bond two different gemstones inside one ring.
It doesn't have to be the colors or stones in the photo. It is the
concept that interests me. Can it be done? If so, what kind of glue
would you use?

This stone, I suggest ist grown in different colours, and this happens
very
often. On the other hand, therse is no problem to glue two port
together
like that photo. If the glue has the same light refraction as the stone,
you
won´t remark it.

You might want to look for stones that are naturally bicolored like
Ametrine.
