New Featherweight
My DH is in Copenhagen on business -- went to a flea market this morning.
Bought a featherweight for the equivalent of $140 US, made in Scotland 1951-1953. I now have 7, I think; maybe 8. Elizabeth in Spring, Texas |

No fair! vbg I haunted garage sales and auctions for years trying
to find one that was "under valued" at a tiny little price. I had no luck in even finding even an over-priced FW. You have a great hubby to be on the look-out for you like that. We'll now refer to you as "Lucky Liz, Queen of the FWs"!!! Leslie & The Furbabies in MO. elspeth wrote: My DH is in Copenhagen on business -- went to a flea market this morning. Good thing, too, since I wouldn't have room to store them! Congrats! I love my Featherweights, 1951 Centenial named Jack and 1938
named Goldie. Both these names are DH;s grandparents and their last name is...... are you ready?... The Niedlemans. They both still sew beautifully and just hum along. Linda in Tx |
