Default Fun news-Kona Coffee quilt contest

I just got an e-mail from Rozemaryn Van der Horst who is running the Kona
Coffee Quilt contest, and the letter states that Amy & My quilt entry has
been selected to hang at the Kona Coffee quilt show in November. I believe
they are selecting 50 quilts to hang at the show & then they will be judged.
Here is our quilt:

It was fun to collaborate with my girlfriend on this project.

The quilt shows Sock keke (Monkey) driving around in her banana car,
drinking a cup of delicious Kona Coffee, The quilt is titled Bananas for
Kona Coffee.

That is so dear. I think I hear a Sock Monkey quilt calling me. Is there a
specific print appropriate to Sock Monkey or just a "get lucky" sort of
choice? Polly

Congratulations, Teri! The quilt is adorable and having it chosen to
hang in the show must be quite a thrill!

Whoo Hoo, Teri! That is so wonderful and funny. I'm hoping to hear from
Hoffman Challenge folks soon. DH and I both have entered quilts.

I love sock monkeys and have 17 that I rescued from yard sales. I also
have a couple of yards of blue flannel sock monkey material, a couple of
yards of sock monkey faces, and a yard of sock monkey "skin" material.

Your quilt has me thinking about how I should eventually use my
material. Right now it's just for fondling, but I really do want to
make something out of it.

I hope your quilt does well in the competition, My sockmonkeys would
keep their fingers crossed for ya, if they had any.

Denise
