Do you have a quilt on your bed? Did you make it? What does it look like?
Why did you decide on that? Will LN really finish her own quilt?

Yes.

No.

Looks like this:

DH actually saw it and bought it. I bought the accessories for it.

Yes - I'll make her. G

The quilt on our bed is a queen (over size) Boston Commons. I will
never make one again, but I like this one because it is finished. Yes
I made it,

It looks like a lot of fabric cut up & sewed back together.
I decided on that because it is the way you make a quilt.

Actually I made it from my stash and only had to buy one piece to
finishe it out. It is machine quilted by a shirt tail relative in
Ohio and shipped back to me in Fl.

Of course LN will finishe!! Even if she has to bed for help.

Yes, of course...

Did you make it?

Yes

What does it look like?

It is sort of a chained four patch. The four patches (blue, greens,
yellows) alternate with muslin squares. Each row is off set, so the
four patches chain in diagonal rows. It is hand quilted. The four patch
blocks are outlined quilted, and I cross hatched the muslin squares.

Why did you decide on that?

A friend of mine had a family quilt with a similar pattern. I really
meant to copy her quilt, but what I came up with is slightly different.
I didn't draw a picture to work off of.

Will LN really finish her own quilt?

Of course she will. Some day. . .

Well...I'm in the process of making one. It's from a Thimbleberries book
and the pattern is called "Meadow Lily". The colors in it are a light grey
marble background, plum (medium and dark), a couple of greens and another
grey with various shades. Because I have a green carpet in my bedroom and
plum walls and grey furniture (which I would love to change, but that's not
happening right now), so I have to try and bring it all together.
As for LN.......hmmmmm........the jury is still out on that one!

Well, to be gentle, it is so ugly it is cute. But it has a story to
tell. Fifteen years ago, our house burned down. We live just outside a
very small town, and everyone banded together to help us out. They had
a big shower for us, and the Lutheran ladies (not my church) presented
us with 5 quilts. They had been making them for missions in Africa, and
just picked 5 to give us. It is a queen sized quilt, made of polyester
2 inch squares. They are very dark squares and came from old polyester
leisure suits, I think. The backing is an old black prequilted
bedspread. It weighs a ton, is impossible to decorate around, and stays
on my bed because it makes me feel loved.

I have a double wedding ring on my bed that my mother made as a wedding
present for me and my husband. I also have the HUG quilt that RTCQ folks
made for me on my side of the bed. Sometimes it's on the top half, but
most of the time it's on the foot of the bed. There's a quilt on the
spare bed too; it's a Storm At Sea in purples that my mother made for me
when I was about 12. It was the first full sized quilt she ever made.

The only quilt that I have that I made is a doll quilt, on the top of
the fabric stash, to protect it from cat hair. The cats use it. It's a
purple and black double 9-patch.

NO. But I have a queen size log cabin top (barn raising style) done in my
bedroom colors and will be using it ASAP when it gets a back and quilted. I
have the batting (Warm and White), just need to buy some backing. Will post
pics when completed and pics developed.

Yes, I have a quilt on my bed.
Yes I made it.
It is a card trick pattern - done in purple & teals.
Purple & teal are my favorite colors!!! (Yeah, I know, you meant the
pattern). Also have always liked the pattern.

Yes, LN will finish..........someday!!!

Yes, there's a quilt on my bed. No, I didn't make it. My DMIL made it
for us as a wedding present. It's a "cheater" (as she calls it) whole
cloth, hand quilted. The fabric is country blue, pink, tan and yellow.
I made quilted pillow shams (machine quilted) & curtains from the
leftover fabric.

Will LN finish? Probably before I do.
