Has anyone tried a "Magic Tiles" quilt?
Has anyone tried a "Magic Tiles" quilt? A friend said she had just finished
one, so I looked it up. Looks like a "Stack 'n' Slash" (which I HAVE made) with sashing. Also, the one I saw was a kit you could buy. |

It was quite lovely. She had used japanese print fabrics and sashed in dark green. She said it was an easy project to do and had fun making it. From what I understood, your description is correct - stack and slash with narrow sashing between the sections. marcella |

I have the pattern and my blocks are about two/thirds done. I did mine in
florals boardered in black. It's fun to do. Carey |

I've made one! I did it in queen size (two block sets) and did it in
safari jungle prints! It is wild! I gave it to my SIL and BIL for their 1st Wedding Anniversary. Their guest room is decorated "jungle theme" and this quilt ties it all together. They liked it so much, they moved all the jungle theme stuff and the quilt to their room so they could use the quilt! It makes a gorgeous quilt, but it is a bit tedious with all the narrow "lead" between the tiles. If I do this one again it will NOT be a queen. I've not only done one, I have written my own instructions and taught a class
that looks like a "Magic Tiles" quilt. Quite easy to do as long as you keep everything in the correct order. And remember to move the correct number of pieces to the bottom.
