Karen the shawl is lovely and I like the kumihimo loom as well, what is
the center made out of, I have never seen a coffee can lid like that.
(Must be said I never buy our coffee in a can either)...LOL

Thanks for the postings Martin

Karen, is that a hand or machine knit pattern? Reminds me of a garter
carriage technique I saw a few years ago. If it's a hand knit pattern, I'm
really intrigued!

Eleanore, that kumihimo loom is amazing. What an interesting synthesis of
the wood/weights method and the card method! I like the idea of using those
bobbins to hold whole skeins of floss, too.

To me, it looks like what Eleanore's done is to take a very large coffee
can lid, cut the rim off , cut slits and a center hole, sandwich it between
two plates of wood, also with center holes, then used the brass lamp part
she mentioned as a flange at the center hole. I wonder if it looks the same
on both sides? And where do you find this nice lamp part?

Martin,
Thanks once again for posting pictures for RCTY. You do us a real
service!

Karen,
The shawl is gorgeous! You do beautiful work, as I have told you
before.

Eleanore,
Thanks for sharing your version of the kumihimo loom. It's sometimes
hard to envision what people are talking about, but this explains it all.
