Met a Maltese like that at a family reunion recently. Not exactly sure
how he was kin but he was indeed a sitter. Didn't matter who was sitting,
the Maltese was beside them squeezing them over so he could be perfectly
comfortable. Polly

That's my Crown Prince, a.k.a. Puff.

"Lucille" wrote Welcome to our world. There's an open invitation for
visits to my place,
but you will have to share your half of the loveseat with my little
Maltese, and he takes up a lot of room.

Lucille from Florida, where the rest of the alligators live. Even though
I don't live in a swamp, with the stormy weather the last few days it
certainly looks like it.

I am so pleased to have found you. I have very much enjoyed reading

At a happy and silly baby shower we were invited to suggest names for
the little darling. I offered 'Polly Esther' and it has stayed with me
since.
I am a great-grandmother, somewhat adequate staff to a Yorkie, have been
in love with the dearest man for more than 60 years, a Katrina survivor and
we live in a swamp populated by 8,500 alligators. more or less.
There's probably not anything I haven't tried with a needle. From
splinters to wedding gowns, I've done it.
For the most part, I make gifts for newborns in need.
Please move over and make a place for me. I'll share the banana
nutbread I just baked. Polly

Welcome, Polly. Great nickname. Looking forward to hearing about your
stitching adventures, and anything else.

Welcome Polly. Just be prepared -- we are a bit more boisterous over
here in Needlework than the fine people in Quilting :-). Either way, I
can guarantee that the folks here will LOVE to be regaled by stories of
the 'gators and their preferred diet -- LOLOL. CiaoMeow ^;;^

PAX, Tia Mary ^;;^ (RCTQ Queen of Kitties)

Welcome, Polly. I thought I 'recognized' you from RCTQ. I onlyl urk over
there, as I seldom have anything to contribute by way of quilt topics, and
occasionally butt in here with comments or silliness, as these nice people
kindly put up with me. You'll enjoy it here, I am sure.
Regards,
Carey in MA

Could be, Cheryl. I visited over at yarns when Patton temporarily quit
making my favorite, Beehive I think it was. They helped me stalk every
source. Nice people. Polly

"Cheryl Isaak" Hi Polly,
I think I know you from another group - yarns maybe?

I'm Cheryl, the hockey mom.....

"MargW" Welcome, Polly:
There's always room for another one in the Stitching corner.

Oh, definitely cooler - I just checked and Map Quest says we are
actually 1419 driving miles from our place to New Orleans.

I'm in Picton, Ontario on the north side of Lake Ontario.

It's only 64 F here right now. That is cool for this time of the year,
but we've been having rain the last couple of days.

Greetings, and just ignore the occasional squall. I'm mostly a luker
on rtcq. If you want to see some of our work, subscribe to the yahoo
group RCTNP, and mention RCTN in the email (it's a moderated group to
keep the spammers out)

Ahah, the lady that produced the fabric for many of my trousers still
hanging in my closet from the 60s arises!!
Seeing as how I have been chief cook and dish rinser (Casey washes what he
doesn't chew) around here the last couple of days maybe I will wear the
yellow bell bottoms tomorrow, for 30 seconds anyway. LOL!

Your dwelling place reminds me of a time when my DW and I were at the Sprint
Car national races in Eastbay. A rookie driver went too fast around a turn,
over the high embankment and out of sight, then a big cloud of steam went up
into the air. The announcer said that if the driver was ok we should see him
running back to the race track pretty soon because he had landed in a gator
pond. Shore nuff in a few minutes the driver came running back over the
embankment about as fast as he drove over it. I'm not sure if the gator pond
is still there or not.

Welcome aboard Polly Ester!!!
