Default Buzz Board Forums: knut friction hitch, zepplin bend

If you are not familiar with Treebuzz.com, it has a great forum for
professional arborists! For me, reading the discussion between people
whose profession uses knots and rigging daily has been a real eye
opener.

If you have not accessed these forums, I hope the following helps:

1. I access the forum from:
http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/ubbthreads.php .
2. A quick way to find the threads discussing the knut friction hitch
and the zepplin bend is to click the View Recent Messages "Past 7
days" (*) button at the bottom of the screen.
3. There is a list of recent messages including: anyone know about
the "knut" friction hitch? and zepplin bend for footlock prussik
(there is a reference to the "shake hands bend" here).

* If you haven't checked rec.crafts.knots to see this message in over
a week, try the search at the top of the screen or the "Climber's
Talk" forum.

Until I got used to the forum, I missed the little blue "Attachment"
button in the message headers. They download some great pictures. If
you haven't accessed this site before, in past threads, there are some
great pictures of professional arborists suspended in a giant redwood,
voluntarily trying to save the tree.

Hope you find this site as interesting as I do - Brian.
