Default Repairing a mistake in a cable way Up !!!!

I am knitting cables , and i always knit them opposite i.e. if the
cable on the right side turns right the cable onnthe left side will
turn left ,,,,, thus Imagine my face when i saw that some where , Up
and Far away from the place i knit , one turn was turned the wrong
way ,,,,, i decided to try and unknit only the cable ,,, i pushed my
knitting needle in the place Under the wrong turn ripped all rows
counted them ,,, and than using dp reknitted Only those 4 stitiches
all the way without having to rip out any other stit ,, it takes
patience one might use a Crochet hook from time to time for the 4th
st. when thread seems to short ,, but it can be done !!!!

I've done that, too! It's more tedious than difficult. With several
U-shaped cable pins it's a bit easier, particularly if the phone
rings, but it does make for a LONG evening!

Mirjam,

You've got *way* more stick-to-it-ness than I do, and there's folks that
think I'm crazy stubborn because I can take messes and fix them for other
people. With the state of my eyes at the moment, and the fact that I'm
currently doing twisted ribs which contain a faux-cable float across the
face of the rib on 2.00mm needles at 10 spi (roughly 10 stitches per 2.5
cm) the only way I'd manage that is with a strong magnifying lamp *and*
glasses. I sit in awe of you.

I do mirror cables too! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one; I
think.it makes for a better overall look.

I've done ribbit stitch all the way down one pattern piece too, when I
could not make the error a "feature." Not fun!
