Default Long time no see

It's been a while since I've stopped by RCTQ, was working so much last
year that I didn't even have time to lurk. Working so much that I
basically ran screaming into the night, DH asked "why?" so we agreed
that I should take the summer off and figure out what I really want to
be when I grow up later.

It's a little bit of belt tightening, but no child care requirements
since I am now home home home (and happy as a clam about it!)

Started the summer with a little quilt shop hop, conveniently have a
week of camp for the girls the same time as Sisters so I can go
without worrying about what the kids are up to. It will be the summer
of quilting, and getting back to the gym to see if I can't shed a few
of the "desk spread" pounds I put on this year.

Glad to see you all again, I really missed you!

Welcome back, Loren! It's good to see you again. I can appreciate the
"screaming into the night" thing -- BTDT! And I'm starting to ask myself
"why," too. I'm thrilled for you that you are taking the summer off! It
sounds like you need it. Hope you'll be able to spend a little more time on
the group now that you have some time for yourself. Anything in particular
you plan to work on (quilting-wise, that is) this summer?

Hey, Loren; private e-mail me with your address, please. Marijke has a
letter for Brenna ready to mail.

So what's your summer quilt going to be? I am still handquilting a 9/11
memory quilt but started the first corner block this evening so the end is
in sight! My next quilt will be a Boston Commons that will be a wedding gift
for my younger daughter's best friend (the couple lives in Boston). It is
hard to get much sewing done with Marikje and her little sister here daily
but...

Welcome, welcome, welcome back!!!! I couldn't prescribe a more nutritional
summer plan for you if I tried! In fact, think I'll join you in this as
well!

The reluctant round robin is on the list for the summer. Started with
cleaning my sewing area and found the journal that went with it,
realized how much fun that RR was. Did any of the rest of you from
the Relucant Round Robin finish? Should we think about posting pics?

LOL
Mine is sitting waiting for me to finish it. I think I will add some applique to the outer part
to "spark" it a bit. And then I can quilt it.

Right now I am trying to get some samples done for classes.
And trying to come up with classes to teach that are interesting but still fairly easy for
beginners to do.
