Xmas wish list (Refer your spouse to this post)
Hi folks
Shouldn't jewlers get their Xmas gifts for Thanksgiving? Makes perfect sence to me.. Anyway- I'd like to improve my skills. Since going out of town for 1 week or two or longer is out of the question, I'm doing a lot of reading on the net and practicing new skills. The next skill I need to wok on, is stone setting. Namely channel and pave although maybe pave should come first. So here's my dilema: 1. Meji microscope 2. Gravermeister 3. GRS BenchMate Jewelers Stone Setting Tool 4. GRS Powerhone 5. Lampert Spot welder (http://www.lampertusa.com/) Why is this so expensive?? I've seen spot welders for $1400. I'd be curious to know why the other spot welders advertise that they are to be used to temporarily hold parts together untill you solder them while this one seems claim that they will be welded permanently. (Anybody know?) -Stanley Please feel free to expand/comment on this listing=20 |

That welder is a TIG welder, not a spot welder.
