I know people that have---and Plano, the fishing tackle box people have the
kind of plastic boxes that DO NOT intereact with our raw clays, makes for good
storage...

the people I know that were doing this had flyfishing husbands, who tie their
own lures, and they had some very good results with Sculpey SuperFlex which is
basically sculpey with more of the Elasticlay added, the plasticiser. The clay
stays very rubbery/bendy after baking, makes things look livingbait-ier on the
hook...

Here's some info I have on making lures (from the Sculpting-gen. page at my
website):

``````````
fishing lures
....Don Lokke makes crankbaits, topwater lures, spoons, flies, "jigs"(wire
armatures?), etc. http://www.polymerlures.com
.........I have marketed my CD's (on making these..plus how to make and use
molds, mix colors, etc.) on eBay for over 2 years ..$20 each
(http://www.polymerlures.com/catalog.htm)
........my CD's are more detailed than the advertising and recommend the proper
baking times considering the thicknesses of each design. 15 minutes is plenty
for some of the small jigs or flies... crankbaits take more time and may take
multiple sessions. . Don Lokke
....Sculpey III may not be suitable for thin or projecting parts of lures though
because of it's brittleness after baking.
....see sub-categories below for lots of bugs to make with clay!
