Default RCTQ meet-up

Yesterday, at the large quilt show, Uschi (from Vienna) and I met up and
had coffee and a chat together. As always, it was easy to 'find
something to talk about'! and we found we had lots in common - apart
from quilting!
Uschi has been at the show all week, taking numerous classes. She'll no
doubt you about those herself.
I was full of admiration that her English is so perfect. Complete
command of vocabulary, scarcely any accent, and no hesitation at all. I
thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about my several times in Austria.
So another great meeting - short, but perfectly formed g

Sorry KJ. I didn't take my camera and, anyway, most of the time I was
eating a giant apple and cinnamon muffin gg
Uschi was much more restrained with just a nice cup of coffee!
I am mentally planning a trip to Austria now - just talking about it
made me want to go again. There might even be a quilt show to visit!

How wonderful, Pat! I've admired Uschi's quilted diamonds -- it's lovely
to hear that she's every bit as nice as those! g

Patti - was this the Festival of Quilts at Birmingham. I went on
Thursday. I thought it was better than ever this year.

Yes, Irene, that was the one. So glad you enjoyed it.
I went on the Friday because I had booked for a lecture (which, in the
end, I didn't attend!!!). Yes, I thought the show was magnificent,
though I did think that many of the Quilt 2006 group were completely -
can't think of a word!! And, I agreed with the judges in most instances
gg with one or two notable exceptions!

Gosh I was tired, though! Three halls was a lot, and I'm sure I missed
large sections!
