Do Banner Ads Work? On topic.
Hi everyone.
Here's a question that was sparked by a, what I consider to be, SPAM email I just got. Do you think banners ads work? Most of the time they just annoy me. But I do have to say, on www.WetCanvas.com sometimes I'll click on one because they *are* for the right audience, for the most part. The email I got was from Bravenet, who manage my mailing lists. The thing that makes this on topic for here is that they said it will target 4,000,000, yes 4 MILLION related sites...which I take to mean people interested in beads, since that's what I do. My other question is....do you really think there are 4 MILLION targeted sites that would have people interested in lampwork beads? No, I'm not considering doing this. Sometimes I just wonder if I narrow my world so much that I don't realize that there are that many people out there that would be interested in something I do. I think I've had too much coffee, to even be thinking about this. -- Lori Greenberg http://www.beadnerd.com ebay auctions: http://snipurl.com/5wlc |

Banner ads are a funny thing. DH does get a little traffic to his site via
banners (on targeted areas), however he usually has better luck using Google Adwords or Overture. B. |

Personally, as a matter of over-caution and principal, I never, never, never click a banner ad! The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |

I think they work only if they are targeted very very well. WC does a great
job of targeting the ads. Most places don't. I think Bravenet is exaggerating. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net Hi everyone. I never click but I am not much fun (as in adventurous) when it comes to the
internet. In the past, I have clicked on links that downloaded stuff to my computer that completely bunged it up. So I quit clicking at all. I think things are safer these days but don't care enough to find out, LOL. I only go where I want to go, and it is usually shopping.
