OT - whew what a day!
Actually it's half on and half off topic. Monday I saw my Diabetes
specialist (we won't mention how late she runs!) and I mentioned a problem I've been having for about 4 months. I told her I'd seen my GP who ran one test which came back all clear and she nearly fell off her chair when I informed her he'd left it at that. I could see her face getting more worried by the minute when I mentioned more symptoms and when she heard my grandparents had passed from cancer she started writing blood test orders. She has a couple of ideas (none of which are good) but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I should have realised how serious it was when she said she wanted me back in two weeks when the test results are back. Anyhoo, to bring it back ON topic instead of feeling sorry for myself yesterday and today, I've been sewing like a mad woman (some would say that's no different to normal!) and have sewn and birthed two kiddy quilts and made up another top for a third using some of the gorgeous (and I mean gorgeous) fabrics from my care package from Susan. So come Christmas time I'll be able to take a heap of quilts over to Ronald McD house. And it makes me feel better too. There's nothing like snuggling fabric is there? And Merlot the QI is getting more interested in the process - he was right next to my sewing foot! And I'm *this* close to finishing DH's quilt top (YYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY) then I can start quilting the monster. Should be done by next week (the top) at the latest. -- Sharon from Melbourne Australia (Queen of Down Under) http://www.geocities.com/shazrules/craft.html (takes a while to load) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/shazrules/my_photos (same as website but quicker) |

(((((( Sharon))))))))). We will be there in spirit and prayer when you
get your test results back, and through whatever comes next. Keep fondling that fabric in the meantime. It will keep you sane. Diana Sharon Harper wrote: Actually it's half on and half off topic. Sharon, I'm terribly sorry to hear that you may be facing some unpleasant medical hurdles, and I'm sending my prayers and good thoughts your way that everything will turn out to be just fine. You're amazing, you know -- pouring yourself into making those quilts for other people while waiting and wondering is so selfless and kind! {{{{{Hugs}}}}} -- Sandy in Henderson, near Las Vegas my ISP is earthlink.net -- put sfoster1(at) in front http://home.earthlink.net/~sfoster1 AKA Dame Sandy, Minister of Education |

Sharon-
Prayers coming to you from MO., USA. Sewing/quilting is a great distraction when health problems are looming over you. Take care of yourself and try not to worry too much before you know for sure- then you can start fighting whatever it may be. And congrats on finishing your DH's top. Good on you! Sharon,
I hope your specialist is just being extra careful and there is nothing really wrong. Good thoughts going your way. -- Dr. Quilter http://community.webshots.com/user/mvignali (take the dog out for a walk) |

Thank y'all for your thoughts and wishes. I've calmed down a bit, but am
still a bit um not with it (blonde? elderly? LOL). My specialist is great she nags me, she gives me those looks when I've been bad, I just have to housetrain her to run her appointments on schedule. She really does care. Now after the vampire got through with me I have to wait until the 8/8 for results. Meanwhile to make it on topic - I finished filling in the side edges of the nightmare quilt, just have to do the top and bottom. -- Sharon from Melbourne Australia (Queen of Down Under) http://www.geocities.com/shazrules/craft.html (takes a while to load) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/shazrules/my_photos (same as website but quicker) "Diana Curtis" wrote in message ...
