Default Guess I should introduce myself

My name is Donna, I am retired from the Air Force and live in Ohio. I
spent 6 wonderful years in Charleston SC and then on to Iceland for a
year.....I loved it there and the Lopi/Alfoss yarns. Then I was lucky
enough to finish my career in my home town. I have enjoyed several
needlecrafts.....crochet, crosstitch, broomstick lace, needlepoint and
knitting. I recently started knitting again....In the past I never advanced
past one baby sweater and several scarf's and now I have finished several
baby hats using circular needles and doublepoints for the decreasing....I
was real happy as I hate to sew seamsG anyway I just finished a knit from
the neck down baby sweater and had some problems as the directions were not
correct but was able to go by the picture and figure it out...I really
enjoyed this technique so ordered a pattern and yarn [Plymouth Yarn design
studio] Baby Raglan Cardigans with hats but am stumped; after you cast on
for the neckband you RS Knit a row, next is the WS:

K1, (yo, k2tog) across.

Ok my question is do I continue this across including the K1 or just do it
once and the rest are yo, k2tog?

The pattern has a ribbon tie so I assume the yo's are for the ribbon.

Anyway I have enjoyed lurking here the last couple months.

Donna

That'll make a row of eyelets if you do it correctly. You need to
repeat what's inside the parenthesis for as many times as it takes to
get across the work, the last thing you do *should* be a k2tog. The
YOs and the k2togs cancel each other out, so to speak, so you should
have the same stitch count after this row that you had going into this
row.

Make sense?

Yep, you're making a row of eyelets.

Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I've traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren't paved.

HI from another Donna,

You've already got your answer to the question so I'll talk
about the other stuff you mentioned.
I'm retired Navy, my DH soon will be retired AF (Jan07), and we also were
in Iceland
and South Carolina (Shaw AFB)..Our oldest DD was born in Iceland
in"92...when were you there?

Hi Donna,
I am also new to the group and was an Air force wife for 23 years. We
spent time in California, Texas, England, Virginia and Arizona. My
hobbies sometimes maintained my sanity. I am also an AirForce Mom. My
son, Dil and grandchildren are in Japan (Kadina) and are not due back
for another year. My grandson is only 2 months old. Thank God for IM
as I get to talk to them frequently and due to the Web Cam I get to see
the babies. If only they could figure out how to add touch to the
system.
I live in Las Vegas and am happily married for the second time.

Hi, Donna, and welcome,

Wooly took care of your question, and I'm not affiliated with the
military in any way, but I do knit and crochet. This is a great group
and I'm glad you've joined us.

Donna,

Thanks for checking in.

We have a ton of wealth in experience in our great group.

Yes I can tell from all the reading I have been doing here. And I will be
asking for help as so far most of the patterns I have bought leave stuff
outG like the current baby sweater I am making....it lists 4 stitch
markers but there are no instructions in the pattern as to were they go.

Again thanks for checking in and welcome to our group friend.

Thanks back!

Donna
