Favorite stitching saying?
I'm working on a small project which has an opening about 1 1/4" x 2
1/5". I'm looking for something interesting to stitch in there. I guess it doesn't necessarily have to be stitching related, so I'm open to non-stitching quotes, too. |

If you work on 50-count linen (yes, there is such a thing), you could fit almost anything in there! LOL! But it's nearly done....on 28 ct! Just waiting for the perfect words.... Does *no* one have a favorite saying? Joan |

Does *no* one have a favorite saying? Not a stitching saying, but it sort of applies. It would be a squeeze to fit it in, but my favorite saying is: "Anything worth doing is worth over-doing." From the Notebooks of Lazarus Long/Time Enough for Love by Robert A. Heinlein. Nyssa, who has been over-doing the ice cream lately At River's End http://nyssa.cnc.net |

Here's short list I put together in case I need something. Sampler Sayings 1) The charm of Christmas lies in the thought that we live in the memory of our friends. Author Unknown 2) “If it does not seem like a moment’s thought, all the stitching and unstitching will be for naught.” William Butler Yeats - Paraphrased by Gary Cooper's daughter for Turner Classic Movies 3) The wind of Heaven is that which blows between a horse’s ears. 4) “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin 1903 – 1977 5) “The wise teacher makes learning a joy” author unknown? 6) "Breeze is the conductor, trees the musicians, and leaves the instruments." 7) The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have. |
