I never got a confirmation of joining the sock wars but I saw my name in the
list of "soldiers" on her blog. Also, on the forum I never got a
confirmation email to respond to but I emailed yarn monkey about that and
she responded that she had fixed the problem and after that I could log in
to the forum.
