Default Help identifying sewing machine please?

Yesterday, I came by a poor old Singer sewing machine that had been dumped out
in the rain! It's a more recent model than the one I own and I thought to have
it refurbished if it's not going to be too expensive. I'm wondering which model
it is, though, and can't seem to find any marks on it beyond 'Singer' and 'Magic
34' and 'Made in Italy'. There's a few parts missing (notably a foot and the
reverse gear button), but the motor looks to be in good nick and its appearance
is pretty OK.

If anyone knows of this machine or can supply one of those *useful* URLs (that
I'm never bright enough to bookmark when others need them), I'd be most
grateful. I'll let you know if anything comes of this little machine!

Can you describe it more? I found a pic of a Singer machine made in
Italy on this web page:

Is that anything like it? What decade would you guess the machine had
been made? Is there a serial number on the front right side? Here's an
incomplete list of serial numbers to give you some idea if it's an older
machine:
