Does anyone have a good online source for fancy 1" shank buttons that
can be used on handknit sweaters? I bid on some gorgeous Czech glass
ones at ebay yesterday but lost out. I thought I'd find a good source
on the web, but I haven't been able to.
Thanks in advance.

Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

In addition to jewelry, I make custom buttons, both with holes and with
shanks, any diameter. I don't have any samples on my webpage, but if you're
interested, you can get an idea by poking around the site. Because I work in
polymer clay (a pigmented clay that mixes like artist's oils) I can do an
unlimited number of colors or multi-color patterns, as you can see from the
images on any of my website pages that features polymer clay, for example
http://georgiamorgan.net/html/feathers.htm

I sell the non-sculptural buttons for $1.00 each; sculptural (e.g., floral)
buttons would be a little more.
These aren't buttons either, but you can get an idea of what I'm referring
to.

Thanks, DA. When my NYCO becomes a FO (round about September at the rate I'm
proceeding), it'll be a cardigan vest, and I'll be making a handful of
buttons for it.

Thank you Georgia. You do beautiful work. And thank you to all the
respondents. I am traveling for business to Lancaster, PA today and
hope to do a little shopping. I hope to poke around at some antique
shops, sewing shops, etc. I've bookmarked your site because it sounds
like you can make me anything! Thanks again.
