S.E.X. in Tucson
A friend and I took the day yesterday to do some shop-hopping. I must say
that although it is clear the heck on the other side of Tucson, I found the Quilters Market to be a great shop. What a great bunch of staff, and wonderful selection too. I had a great time. We stopped again at Bella Quiltworks, too, and fell in love with the place all over again. My friend and I had lunch at The Keys, where we got great food and service, hit a couple of shops that weren't exactly "quilt" shops but featured fabric. I found something to make myself some badly-needed new kitchen curtains, got 5 3/8 yards of good cotton for $10.00. More than enough for curtains and a tablecloth! At one shop we found something unusual...pre-wound bobbins. They appeared to be made of cardboard. Anyone here ever used them? In what machines? Just curious. Now I must go and launder my new stash. I have this need to fondle all that fabric again! Have a great weekend, everyone. -- Carolyn in The Old Pueblo If it ain't broke, you're not trying. --Red Green If it ain't broke, it ain't mine. --Carolyn McCarty If at first you don't succeed, switch to power tools. --Red Green If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer. --Carolyn McCarty |

If you use a thread such as Aurafil or The Bottom Line in your bobbin your
bobbin thread will last longer. The Aurafil is a 50 weight egyptian cotton, costs about the same as Mettler Silk-Finish, and is supper clean - generates much less fuzz. The Bottom Line was developed by Libby Lehman. -- Teresa in Colorado http://home.comcast.net/~treesaquilt...ome.html-.html The Presser Foot www.thepresserfoot.com "DDM" wrote in message ... Love the pre-wound bobbins. They can pack more thread onto them so you don't run out as quickly. My machine is a Pfaff and I just have to pop the carboard sides off so that my low bobbin indicator will still work. Dee in LeRoy, NY "Carolyn McCarty" wrote in message ...
