Default anyone know of a freebie pattern for newborn or baby booties/slippers?

something really simple, 1 seam up the back and a foot part, for
example...elastic around the ankle--if i had any talent at all, i
would be able to make something so darn simple...

From WildGinger (
http://www.wildginger.com) you can download the free
program "Wild Things" which includes a pattern for booties. And there are a
variety of free baby/children's patterns at about.sewing.com
(http://sewing.about.com/cs/babychilditems/) as well, which might be of use
for other simple baby projects.

A little late, but here's a free one. I would only suggest making these in
something soft, like fleece, because the exposed seams on the inside might
be irritating to new skin. Or you could make them inside out, a la
moccasins ;o)
