Default SHOW SHOW SHOW

Hi gang!

I've had a day to rest up (and I'm too old for more of this), but our
show was a huge success considering crappy rainy weather. I am very
proud of it and would like to share it with you all. I took pictures
of the whole show before the arrivals in order to get a good shot of
all the quilts.

The first picture is our raffle quilt at the entry to the show called
Delft Blue Mosaic. We've not had our show windup meeting yet so I'm
not sure of the amount of money it raised, but just about everyone who
saw it, loved it.

Get yourself a big cuppa and enjoy!

Oooh---some real beauties wiping drool off keyboard. My fave, methinks, was
the birds in the tree.

Thanks Denise! What a lot of lovelies! If you took all those photos, no
wonder you're exhausted. How many members are in your guild? Did they make
all those? It was fun to see different variations of the same pattern. (So
did somebody buy me a raffle ticket? Did I win?)

Hi Roberta,

We are 54 members...and yes - we made ALL those. We've not had a show
in four years now and a few of them were shown again this time around,
but not too many really. We had more quilts than space so that's why
you might see some that overlap others. We felt it was better to
overlap them and hide a bit of one or two than not show some at all.
I spent $$ on raffle tickets and many of our members did also. Bought
some for family and friends, but alas, I wasn't lucky. It was NOT a
guild member who won it. Oh well!! It was someone local, however.

Taking the photos was not the tiring job at all, it was taking down
all the quilts and frames. We got the whole show down and out of the
room in one hour flat! There was another event in there starting and
that's as much time as we were given! phew!!!

Glad you enjoyed the show.

Denise

Denise, I've only had time so far to look at the first 50 of your
pictures, but I'm going back later to see the rest. It's really obvious
that you have some very talented quilters in your group! And that raffle
quilt is a beauty!

Well I looked at all of them and really enjoyed the tour. Denise, was that
your quilt about midway through? Maybe # 72?

Wow! I haven't had time to look at them all yet but so far I agree with
Jean.. I just LOVE the birds in the tree. Do you know where she got that
pattern? I'd love to have one as a wall hanging.
