No cross-stitching, but I did get to do some knitting on the bus -- I
had lunch with my aunt in San Diego. Since I had that much time on the
bus, I used it to make several knitted dishcloths, which I was handing
out as gifts to everyone I went to lunch with. Cheap, kept me occupied
on the bus, much appreciated by the recipients.

After my birthday, I got a chance to go to Needlecraft Cottage, and
bought a few souvenir needlepoint canvases (don't take up much room in
the suitcase). I only kitted up the smallest of them (a Christmas
ornament) on the spot.

I really have to move back to San Diego -- people are friendlier and my
health takes a turn for the better every time I'm there.

And if I ever go there to visit my sister, I can come visit you, too!!!!
Great idea all around!
