I bet in real life they're just exquisite. I can just imagine the light
hitting the metallic threads and the way the colors sing together! That
only comes across in shadowed form in photographs.

Beautiful stuff, mirjam. Makes me rethink the demands on costume
designers working with biblical themes, trying to ger some
authenticity to the wardrobes! BenHur immediately comes to mind. Have
to go back and watch that film again, with an eye to wardrobe.

there are many researches done on Costumes and all related materials
in Ben-Zvi Institute for the Study of Jewish Communities in the East.
