OT.. Maybe. The rambling man has yet another question.... good grief... now what?
Hello everyone... I hate winter and am going to move to Florida! I swear I am!
Just for the winter though. lol OK.. the question: It has to deal with glass beads... big glass beads. lol Does anyone here make glass floats? I don't want the large 6 inch ones just some small ones about maybe 2 or 3 inch diamater. They are just a simple round ball of hollow glass with no holes... have to change the subject to off topic. I don't think these would be called beads would they? If anyone is interested in glass blowing I would love to have your goofs. lol It really doesn't matter if they are perfect.. I just want to make a nautical theme for my room and I can't find small ones that I can wrap in a net and figure someone here does them or knows of someone that does. We basically cover everything in this group. lol Rambling over.... Harry My Ebay Auctions are at http://snipurl.com/3okw |

OK, OK. Enough with the bitching about winter. We got another inch or two
of snow last night. But at least we're finally getting above 0F temps, and in a week I should finally get sunshine through my window. Cold weather is inconvenient, but you can dress for it and you can heat your environment with quite simple equipment. Move to Florida or Texas? Not a chance. Heat you can't escape simply. Without air conditioning I'd be nauseated and subject to heat prostration, and seriously unable to think. Sure I could be a snow bird, but I can only afford one home. So I live where I can tolerate the weather all year, and I like it. Because it's a waste of time not to like what your best choice is. OK. Rant done. Tina "Harry" wrote Hello everyone... I would mine just the snow but right now we are having rain on top of snow
and ice. It is flooding everywhere, in my basement out front I can't even get to my car. Power lines and huge limbs are down and I just heard a roof collapsed in a distribution warehouse near me. I would like just snow a lot better then this. Roxan "Christina Peterson" wrote in message news:1076096801.23864@prawn... OK, OK. Enough with the bitching about winter. I agree with that one. Rain with snow is the worst of all (except too much
heat). I think the one thing I've learned about weather in Alaska is that I don't have to let it control my enjoyment of life. There is so much I can enjoy when I'm stuck here by the weather, and there are surprisingly few times when the weather actually stops me. And I was thinking about you when you mentioned the big pine. Hey, hey, hey ---- I hate cold weather. At least here in Texas you can take
off clothes and jump in water. I love it! I don't like 117s when I go to Larado, but is way down south and I love going to Mexico's markets. Harry, I have a couple of these, and in addition to being called "floatts" they are also catlled "witching balls" or "witches balls". I believe they are meant for floating fishing nets.... I've seen them for sale in the local Tibetan Gift store, and at places like Pier One. Sarajane Sarajane's Polymer Clay Gallery http://www.polyclay.com |

I could just cry when I see this pine tree which is at least 75 years old
and it is the only tree that a pair of redtail hawks use to raise their babies in. Last year the same thing happened when we had a big ice storm. The trees are so sad. Thank you so much and yes they are used to float fishing nets, but most are
big and I want the smaller ones. I will check Pier 1 when I get a chance to get to Sandusky. Thank you again... never dawned on me to check there. Stores that sell birdbaths and stuff also have them, Harry. ~~ Sooz ------- "Those in the cheaper seats clap. The rest of you rattle your jewelry."
