doing counted cross stitch at work
I work as a one-on-one paraprofessional for a special ed student. When
the student is working in Keyboarding class or has peer leadership, it becomes my time to stitch. I'm currently stitching a Laura J Perin design that was a freebie from Nordic Needle. it's a snowflake stitched in white over 2 on 22 count Christmas green hardanger (phew!). I finished the center design and couldn't figure out how to count up for the border. I showed the project to 1 of the Spanish teachers, who promptly called over 1 of the Math teachers, who's also a stitcher -- the Math teacher told me how much to count up to start the border. Can ya tell I was definately NOT a math major in college??(I majored in English, minored in secondary ed and history!) Lisa |
