framing in Winnipeg - follow up
Some time ago, I asked for a suggestion for a framing shop in Winnipeg.
Someone here suggested Sheena's Gallery, and thank you! I had a piece that was a gift for a friend in Winnipeg. Rather than framing it in Baltimore and spending big bucks to ship it, I sent the unfinished piece to Sheena's Gallery to have it framed in Winnipeg, where the gift recipient could pick it up. Sheena did a lovely job and was a dream to work with. She even engaged with me in luring the gift recipient to the shop under semi-false pretenses in order for it to be a total surprise, and it worked. He was totally surprised. Great fun in pulling it off! So I heartily recommend Sheena's Gallery! Sue -- -- Susan Hartman/Dirty Linen The Magazine of Folk and World Music http://www.dirtylinen.com |

Hello Susan, I'm glad that somebody beat me to the posting. Sheena's is the very best place in Winnipeg, and one of the few left. Sheena and her partner do excellent framing and their selection in the shop is wonderful. They carry some of the stuff that is only available in Europe--like the DMC matte cotton and some lines of kits. They also carry the Canadian designers' charts. Sheena also treated me respectfully in the matter of a class where their competition across the river signed me up, took my money, and then told me that I could not take part...and then tried to refuse me a refund. Hooray for Sheena's!!! Irene (grew up there) On Mar 8, 4:08 pm, Susan Hartman wrote: Some time ago, I asked for a suggestion for a framing shop in Winnipeg. I love Sheena's Gallery, I shop there for all my cross stitching material.
I had her frame The Fairy Grandmother and I wanted the matting a certain way. When it was finished and I went to pick it up, I was blown away at what a terrific job that she did. I highly recommend Sheena's. She will even order in if you don't see what you are looking for in the store. Great place and they are very friendly. They will show you how to do a stitch if you don't know. Tricia "Susan Hartman" wrote in message ... Some time ago, I asked for a suggestion for a framing shop in Winnipeg. Yes Sheena's is great. Not only is she one of my best customers I can walk
to her shop in 10 minutes. Fred http://www.stitchaway.com The closer one gets to perfection, the harder it is to achieve. "Tricia" wrote in message ...
