The best place I have found by far is in Yahoo Groups. Go to MSATClayArt.
It is the nicest and most informative group I have come across in 10 years

Any chance we can see your quilt(s)?

I'll see if I can get a pic, better get some film for the camera. Somethings
just don't fit on the scanner, though I try! One is using Kona Bay oriental
cottons, and one is a crazy quilt with all silks, satins, and velvets and tons
of embroidery. Its my pick-up and put-down project for things like plane rides,
etc, have been working on it for more than ten years in strips....of course,
now I can't do it on planes, with my big old DANGEROUS embroidery needle and my
two inch scissors....bad scary lady!!!

Hi there Joy! Welcome to this NG.
Quilters seem to have a real affinity for claying--something about having

dealt
with little pieces and careful placement and built up repeating patterns,

I
think!

(and THIS summer I vow to finish the quilt I'm working on...at least one

of
them.)

Oh, now these I want to see. They sound scrumptious. If you bring to your
quilts the passion you bring to your clay I think we are in for some eye
candy. ... Course.. it might just be easier to bring them right over to my
house for a look-see..
No??
hmmmm
Bad scary lady. snort!

Not if I have to fly there! They actually searched my PONYTAIL to make sure I
wasn't hiding any nuclear bobbypins, I guess. Lucky they didn't find any
weapons of mousse destruction. And obviously they don't know how much damage
can be done with a coated rubberband!!

Darn right! You can put someones eye out with those covered hair thingys. I
wonder what they would make of a pair of metal hair spikes??
Innnnnn sane... totally.
Well.. lets see. If we both started walking or driving right now we could
meet in South Dakota early next week or month... cant promise the last of
the deviled eggs will still be good by then.
Any idea when your chat time will be rescheduled?

I'd jump at the chance! I've sent copies of books, left emails...but I don't
know anyone there, and there's no one at the publishers who is knocking on
those doors either. I need an "in"!
Sarajane

We, I think we should all send Ms. Duvall an email requesting it! Maybe that
would wake them up to a good idea~!
