Default OT- from Washington County, NY??

Hello, all

Anybody here from Washington County, NY? We own property in Granville, and
want to know how you like living in that area. Are there any quilt shops
there?
Fabric stores? How about in Vermont - that area between Rutland and
Manchester?

We went to Granville on Saturday, and saw some new housing developments.
Is there a lot of new housing being built in that county?

Are there any quilt guilds or quilt bees nearby?

How is the library?

Where do you grocery shop? I see Granville has a new PriceChopper, but are
there any Aldi's in the county? How about the dreaded Walmart?

Thanks for all info. You can email me, but please put WashingtonCounty in the
subject line, as I delete unknown mail.

Diane

I don't know anything about that corner of NY. My sister used to live
further north, nearer Plattsburgh & Rousses Point, then she moved to
Burlingon. But she doesn't do the "sewing thing" so my knowledge of
shops up there is skant. There is one awesome shop near Plattsburgh,
very near the ... ok, it's been several years. I don't remember.

If it's the kind of nighborhood I think it is, you'll have to do a lot
planning ahead of time and plan your shopping. Plattsburgh, Burlington,
Albany, and lots of other places around them have some great shopping. I
think there's a good quilt shop in Saratoga Springs.
