A bit puzzled...

I may give slippers another try later on. I really would like to make a
pair, rather than having to buy pre-made slippers. I may try a different
pattern. Maybe ballerina slippers.

The layette I am making is crocheted using a simple shell stitch. It really
isn't that hard.

You could also CROCHET one big Hose ,,,,, felt it and cut out
slippers ,,,

I've not tried felting. Though I have seen some lovely hats and things that
were made that way.
I may try that.
