Default Surgery scheduled. was-- OT rant -- Stupid Ex hurt Mercury!

Haw haw haw! (below)

Why would Siberian Huskies have more problems than other dogs? Is it because
they're so damned independent that they don't want to give up consciousness
and control?

I'm not sure. Northern breeds have sensitivity to anesthesia. I know that
greyhounds have trouble because they have so little body fat, but I forget why
northern breeds are problematic. The fibro ate that piece of knowledge.

How did his blood screen look? Ketones within normal range?

His blood work is GORGEOUS.

(We strongly believe that Merc
should have been in the people section of the truck. Not the back)

Oh -- not a problem -- the "truck" is one of those fancy things that has no
open bed. The whole thing is like a big station wagon. Or I'd never, ever
allow it! EVER

When I told him about
Mercury, he was incensed that someone would be so lucky as to have such a
great dog and not care for him properly.

YEAH.

And,
it's not too hard to train a dog to wait for you to lift them out of the car.

Wel....it's always a risk with any dog that they'll see something and not stay
where you want 'em. I always grab a dog by the collar until I'm sure I've got
it secured another way -- just to be safe. The Ex doesn't take precautions,
he's too cool for school. (I hate not being able to watch his every move when
he's with Merc.....) Sure enough, Merc saw a cat (they were in the vet parking
lot, of course there are OTHER ANIMALS, MORON!) and went for it and fell wrong.
Bleh! Fool.

This weekend is St. Anthony's Festival here in Boston. Bob and Manda will be
going to the festa. I'll have Manda pin an extra dollar on the Saint to have
Merc blessed. It can't hurt, and it might help.

I LOVE this, Kathy! :-).....
