Default Odd pattern instructions

Would anyone like to guess what this means?

dec 1 st at the beg of 6th and 7 foll 4th rows.

I have checked the publishers site for corrections, but there are none.

Thanks for the help. Your interpretation makes it much clearer. I think my
brain was seeing 6th and 7th instead of the way it was written.

Default Odd pattern instructions

What's even worse is to knit a pattern the first time without a problem
and then come back to it later on to knit again and scratch your head
because you just can't get it. That's when I know I have to go to bed
earlier and get more sleep!
