If you find it a bit clunky, consider Augustans. Sounds very literary,

To me Augustonians sounds great.. it's like something that could turn up
in a Startrek movie..
Captain Kirk : Mr Spock.. tell me honestly..Is this going to be another
Klingon attack?
Mr Spock : No, Captain.. these are Augustonians from the planet
Augustus.. they are good people ! They safe planets for a living..
Captain Kirk : Ahhhh Augustonians.. good.. just what we needed...
now they are here we can relax.. let's all do a happy dance..
You too Mr Spock!! Dance i say!! Dance!!

(Pffff.. i got too much free time..)

I was wonding if I'd missed the August singing too! But I was afraid to
say anything in case I'd just missed it.

Got used to it - August school holidays so no class recognition and later
everyone away and all clubs/societies having a rest, so no one around to
notice!

You have to be born in an active month if you want to be sung to - in
August everyone's asleep!

(Being on the 31st I almost escaped to September!)

If I recollect correctly , Pat and I had a discussions on the 'proper'
word to use for those born in August. I don't always write it on the
very FIRST day of the month as I do have a few other obligations every
so often and try to do it as soon as I can.

I didn't realize ppl were keeping that close track.

Dear B'Fly..may i ask.. do you have a problem with Augustusses??
You did not sing for us this year.. nor did you sing for us last
year.. I feel very neglected !! Do you have no love for us?? are we
no friends of yours?? sigh.. tell me what can i do to change that? A
chocolate bribe.. will that help? :-)

FiederEls.. (obviously had her birthday in August.)

Butterflywings.. i owe you an apology.. you sang!.. but in my defence i
have to say : I never got that post.. i just checked again but no.. not
here..but thank you anyway.. ( i like the word Augustonians btw..)
I spend great part of my birthday in hospital for tests and a biopsy so
it was not what i had in mind how i would spend my bday.. so it was not
my best birthday and it was my 50ths too..
Not that i really mind turning 50 though..not REALLY.... sigh
Anyway.. again.. thank you for singing..i bet it sounded great! :-)

Just read all the posts above here and me thinks I've gone to another
planet full of mad people
I like it here!
Belated happy birthday to the two ladies who had birthdays on the
31st.
Mine was on the 18th so you've got another Leo in your midst.
Also many happy returns to all those whose birthdays are this month..

I'm still waiting for it to reach 70F here!
I think summer has forgotten to call this year.

and Virgos!

Well yes, but when you have all those Leos it seems one would hardly
notice the odd Virgo or two.

My birthday is the 22nd, and my mum's is the 24th. I am a Leo and she
is a Virgo. I had to drag out a copy of the RAS Ephemeris and do all
that math just to confirm that I am indeed a Leo (28 degrees) since so
many of the fast reference things try to make me a Virgo. A good
thing about that was I got to have a nice conversation with Marshall
Martz the local astronomer. He was unsurprised that a high school
girl would be curious about astrology and very surprised that I was
interested in doing the proper math. (G)
