Default Wonderful Wallaby question

I just picked up the pattern for the "Wonderful Wallaby" pullover. I
have enough Wool-Ease to make a nice red speckled pullover for one of
my neices (the one who really likes "made things").

If I decide that they're not too hard to make, I plan on making one for
myself, too (ha ha ha! I will NEVER finish all my knitting projects--
it's my key to immortality!). Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I want
to do Plymouth Encore (there are a couple colors I really like, plus
the acrylic DOES make it easier to care for, even for a 'grown up' like
me) or if I want to do it in Galway (100% wool).

Any suggestions as to how I can decide which to do? The price
difference between Galway and Encore isn't enough to sway me.

Duh!

I have two and a half balls of Fisherman's Wool. Another ball should
be enough for a Wallaby.

Sure, it's a nice warm cream instead of funky colored, but that's okay.

Skein it up and dye it before you knit.

They are not hard to make - in fact, I love them. I would go with the
acrylic, simply for ease of care. But the wool feels better. Did that help
at all?? g

I used the Plymouth Encore to make an afghan (crocheted) for one of my
daughters and I'm not sure I would want it for a sweater. An afghan
for my daughter has to be easy care, because there's no way in the
world she's going to wash it by hand and block it. The afghan was very
nice and soft. However, I suspect that the yarn would have a tendency
to pill, which would be more likely to happen on a sweater. It also
had a very loose twist, which meant that it was easy to split the
stitches.
