And on Sunday mornings, us Aussie (and maybe Kiwis too?) have to move their
clocks FORWARD an hour!

And change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

I will try to remember not to sound rude when the firefighters call to
remind me to do that. Usually I assume it's a telemarketer and I say, "No
thank you!" and go to hang up when I can hear them calling loudly, "NO
MA'AM! I'M CALLING TO REMIND YOU TO CHANGE YOUR SMOKE DETECTOR'S BATTERIES!"
LOL Then I humbly apologize and thank him for calling.

Our smoke detector warned us all by itself. It started chirping away the
day after we got back from Sun Valley, so it now has a nice brand new set of
batteries.

Egad, my brain is stuck in the past. When I saw "PSA" in the subject, I
didn't immediately think "Public Service Announcement". No, I thought
"Pacific Southwest Airlines." Now *how* many years have THEY been out of
business???

Well I thought about the prostate blood test. Isn't that
PSA? When we lived in San Diego the planes went
over the house before landing. You could almost
'catch their smile'. They have been going a while.
Miss them.

My Mom (sneaky lady that she is) used to get us kids (3 of us) to go to bed
early by saying that we were losing an hour of time when the clocks were
changed. BUT, she did it twice a year. It gave her an extra bit of time to
herself without the terrible threesome; but has totally screwed up my ability to
figure out what to set the clock to.

I used to call the "time and temperature" phone number but now I just wait until
Sunday morning, reboot my computer and dear Mr. Gates takes care of telling me
what time it really is.

Lets not even talk about the year I lived in AZ where they don't *do* Daylight
Savings Time ...
