Hmmm.. no one said she couldn't ask a question, I said she'd be more
likely to find the answer on her yahoo group. And, quite honestly,
this has been a very civil conversation to date. (At least what I
have access to through google.. maybe I'm missing a bunch from those
who don't archive.)

BTW the last time I checked there was no moderator here. Feel free as everyone
else is to ask a question or post info here about anything needlework related.

As you have already seen any mention of Marilyn tends to bring out the worst in
at least one frequent poster here. Best advice enjoy the helpful posts ignore
the rest. There is no reason anyone should confine their posts about any
designer/needlework to a group elsewhere.

Or she could admit she lied and then write a best selling book telling why
and how she lied, a la someone I liked and still like despite his
transgressions.

ROFL!!!!

I'd rather a president that lies about sex than one that lies to get us into

war!

Didja read the comment by Gore Vidal, who was quoted as saying "He lied about
sex, which in my day was what a gentleman was supposed to do!

If it's in stock at
www.hoffmandis.com, kims-stitchingshop.com can get it for
you.

Alternately, there's contact info for Jeanette Crews Designs in the books --
call Jeanette directly and ask to buy #3.

I checked Hoffman before posting my question, and it didn't show up.
Just now I followed their designer link to JCD, and it didn't show up
their either.

Cat hair? That's just an embellishment.

I cannot think of another designer who elicits such vocal response, both
for and against. There are stitchers who want to stitch every single
design she does, and who wait anxiously for each new release. Is there
anyone here who feels that way about another designer??

I love TW's designs, but I just can't bring myself to stitch them. I
do look forward to seeing her new designs in the stores, though, and I
make a point of looking for them.

I really minded him taking advantage of a young girl and his abuse of power.
If the president or CEO of major corporation talked an intern in to the same
act(s), said officer would have been fired, lost his pension and the respect
of most people.

It happens all the time, some get caught, others don't. It just doesn't make
the news by being publicly investigated for years at the public's expense.

I didn't mind the lies about sex.

I did mind the continued lies under oath; something that would earn the
average schmuck serious jail time.

I really minded him taking advantage of a young girl and his abuse of power.

Not sure I agree with the last sentence Cheryl. We have all read
about the dishonesty of many CEOs and there is nothing to suggest
their morals were necessarily any better. So far, we just didn't get
to hear about it.

Hi

I know that company execs at my old company where fired for similar
offenses. I also applauded the firings - it was an abuse of power. In the
office, keep your pants on and that goes for both sexes.

I guess I expect better from the president. The mistress on the side is one
thing. The intern and the blow job in the Oval Office is another.

BTW - I think Slick Willy will be known as a middle of the road president in
50 years. GWB, below average, not the worst ever.

Not even TW, and she's my favorite designer.
