Whoa.....just walked in her room......it's kinda bright! Good for a young girls
room.....but wouldn't be my choice. But, I know she's gonna love it (I hope)!

But I *like* the newel post.
I like to see the house parts as well as the quilts.
And I really like to read/talk about the paint. ;-D

O.K.....so I had to lay it down in my foyer and take a picture from the
stairs.
I tried to work around it, but it didn't work. You were supposed to
ignore that
part!

Very pretty.

So is the newel post; nice sweep of glossy wood.

Here's a pic of my latest quilt for my daughter Rachel (11 yrs.old),
taken
from
a Fons and Porter magazine called "Funky Stars". This picture was taken
before
it was quilted and bound. My daughter has gone away for 2 weeks and I'm
in the
process of re-doing her room. I have the painter here as I type. This
is
going to be a surprise for her.....hope it all turns out the way I plan.

Yup....we have a great room. It's a combination of the dining room, living
room, TV room, grandkids' library and right now has a lot of my
sewing/quilting too. LOL I've come to the conclusion that we fill up
whatever space we have. This house is 1800 square feet and the 2 of us and
just as crowded as the 900 square foot house was when we had 4 small
children.

Wendy,

It was your quilt that I saw and loved it, then went on-line and ordered a
back
issue of the magazine. So.....thank you!

Lorraine,
That looks great! I did the same pattern a few years ago for my baby
nephew,
and I can't believe how different yours looks! It's a fun pattern to make,
isn't it? Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely adore it! Looks 100% better then anything you can buy at the
pottery barn, she is going to love it!
I would love to get a copy of that pattern (you did say it was published in
the mag, right?), let me know if you can swing that.
Thanks for sharing it.
