Default Expensive soft flex on UK ebay

I have just seen some softflex on ebay number 2669770339.
The price is at present 10.22 GBP about 15 dollars for 5 feet of the
stuff. Wow. If they went to Stitch-n-crafts they can get a whole roll
for that.

It always amazes me that people will pay that much for stuff you can get in
a store for half the price. I always check out the retail price first then
shop on eBay.

Do any of you ever email the person who's bidding... "of course, you are
entitled to bid whatever amount you'd like, on whatever items you'd like,
but I thought you might want to know that you could get this here for a
much better price", or is that crazy -- or even not allowed? I mean, it
would be crazy if someone nominated themselves the ebay-police, and sought
out such instances, but if you simply come across it in your shopping, is it
in poor form to say something to the bidder?

Just curious,

You can't do that, eBay count that as auction interference and will ban you
if the seller finds out and complains (you have to be signed in on eBay to
email someone as you can't get their e-mail address). I've found that this
sellers stuff goes for very high prices. I paid just under 9 GBP for my 30ft
reel of 24k softflex (0.19) and just under 7 GBP for the 0.14 variety with
postage of $5.25 and delivery in 3 days from an eBay seller in the US, one
very happy customer.

Not only is it poor form, it is against eBay's rules and will get you suspended
if you interfere with someone's auction like that.
