Default I ought to kick myself (some OT)

I have been SSOOO bad about keeping in touch here at RCTQ!! I hope you
missed me? (:

My unborn grandbaby is a girl for one thing - I know that many of you
were following the progress of Mark's and Jenn's in vitro pregnancy. I
was on the road in South Dakota when they called and had to leave a
voice mail since we were most definitely out of region. As soon as I
heard, THE baby quilt popped into my head all finished! I'm going to
use a rail fence pattern with my blacks and whites - the lightest
fabrics in the center and getting darker to the outside with appliqued
colorful daisies all around the outside edge. Whew - thank goodness
it's a little quilt!

Hubby found a way, on our trip through SD, to stop at the Mistletoe
Ranch near Rapid City where I got to go quilt shopping and found a nice
pattern and luscious batiks and hoffmans. Walked out with a little bag
- but it was loaded - yeehaw!

Anyway I'm home again and checking into rctq finally - feels like my
life's been incomplete without you! Pics of SD at

Congratulations, and the quilt sounds terrific. Have you started cutting
yet?

Good for you! Gotta get that quilting fix one way or another, don't we?

You were gone? Really? How long? Why didn't you so you were going? Afraid
we'd plan a stash raid...isn't that half the fun of going away...letting us
TRY at least to get one organized?
What did you have to bribe QoS with to keep quiet about it?
Whatever it was, it worked

Oh, before I forget:

SSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEE'S
BBBBBBBAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKK
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Butterfly (and here I thought you were on the 'finish it' kick and gardening
like a lot seem to be right now)

Yeah! It's a girl. You are going to have such a good time. I am enjoying
my DGD Norah. She is now 2 months old and more fun every week as she grows.
