Default OT Minot flood

I don't know how many of you have seen the news about the flooding in Minot,
ND, but the water level has risen to an all time high. Thousands are losing
their home, many business are totaled. Although I wasn't born there, I
consider Minot my hometown. We're following the news and pictures on our
computer, as we're in VT right now. I saw today the Red Cross is in
desperate need of pillowcases for the shelters (I'm sure they could use
quilts also). If any of you could whip up some, or buy inexpensive ones,
I'd be very happy. Once I get home, I'll be sewing non-stop. The best
place to send them would be The Red Cross, Minot, ND 58701. The post office
is on a hill, so should be running.
Please pray for the residents. Our best friends have already lost their
house.

Gen, yes, this is horrible. And how heartbreaking this must be for you,
I'm so sorry. Thanks for posting this, you always wonder what you can
do to help, and now we know! Sending them my prayers as well.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on this. I have been gone all day and had
not been close to a TV to watch the news. It is so sad!

Thank you Gen for letting us know of the need. Somehow the flood news
didn't reach us. But - pillow cases? Sure. I can do pillowcases. I'll
round up my sewing neighbors and get a 'factory' line going. Mr. Esther
can't sew but I'm betting he'll do the pressing for us. We remember what
it's like to need a pillow. Polly
