I've been pretty quiet lately. There's a reason I've been so
busy..... :-)

About a month ago I was bored so was cruising about online and decided
to check out the real estate listings. I found the most *adorable*
1928 Victorian cottage. It was a foreclosure and selling for a
ridiculously low price. I made an offer, it was accepted and today I
became the proud owner! It's a one bedroom, one bath with a finished
attic- which will become a second bedroom and a quilt studio. I'm
doing nearly all the work myself. I started working on it this
afternoon as soon as I signed the last piece of paper. I've always
wanted to restore a Victorian and this little diamond-in-the-rough is
just perfect!

I'm sooooooooo excited!!!

Howdy!
Will you live there some of the time? Escape? Stay-cation?
Get away but not far-away?
For small retreats? A little bit of B&B? Love Shack for newlyweds?
Storage? Quilt shop? Training center?
H.B. over-flow? ;-

Congrats! Love what a little "cruising about" can do for you.

R/Sandy - p.s. how 'bout those historic floor coverings? g

Right now I'm thinking a vignette (sp???) in the bay window with my
treadle sewing machine and my 'kinda black-wrought-iron-looking'
decorative dress form and my black metal ice cream parlor chair- and a
tall plant... or two. But that's subject to change. VBG I am
doing a lot of dreaming (and planning) at this point.

Here they are in my current house in the landing area-

Tomorrow I start sanding the original hardwood floors to refinish
them.....

Happy Day, happy dancing for you. I love it. What are you plans for the
bay window? It's too beautiful to 'hide' but is really calling for
something marvelous. Polly
