Default Mike and his studio

One of Mike's recent lessons was with a lovely man who has an amazing
talent with a camera, and who records the personal space of various
artists. He was kind enough to do a portrait of Mike in the studio,
in the most wonderful panoramic view, it's a full 360 degree shot of
the studio.

I've posted a small version of the image on our blog.

I'm simply stunned by his work, and wanted to share it with everyone.

Wow! Mike has a big studio or is it that the photography makes it
look that way? Whichever, it looks great!!!
Love those teal melon beads Mike is doing. I may have to buy them.

It's the converted loading dock for an old weaving mill here in Tod.
I'd say it's about 10' wide and about 30' long or so. With very high
ceilings. Next door is the owner's studio, a welding shop for his
metal sculptures.

Aww, thanks! He's been enjoying making all the historic beads, and
we've been fortunate to have found a lot of research on the subject,
it's taking me ages to collate all the new info I've found into
something coherent. With luck we'll have the chance to get to a
museum or two and see some of the beads up close.

I love the amber melons, the dark ones are very cool. I might need
some for ME! :-D
